ABSTRACT: In this work, the author presents some experimental results to illustrate the expected change on resilient modulus of a compacted soil, due to evolution of their water content and saturation degree, by the drying and wetting processes being part of the interaction of the pavement structure with environment. A discussion is presented on the selection of a resilient modulus value for pavement design.
