ABSTRACT: In this paper a reliability analysis of shaft constructed using the flotation technique is presented. Ultimate states are evaluated, such as: nucleus stability, excavation stability, bottom uplift failure and floating of finished structure. In order to assess the reliability of the flotation construction system, the point estimate method of Rosenblueth is used. Finally some conclusions are presented.
