ABSTRACT: On April 15th 2014, a landslide occurred on the shore of a lake in the municipality of Lac-des-Seize-Îles, 100 km north of Montréal. The landslide mobilised an estimated volume of 30,500 m³ of till and triggered a tsunami that lifted and broke the ice cover, causing partial or complete destruction of seasonal residences, docks and boathouses in an area extending 450 m north and 500 m south of the impact location. Aerial photographs taken shortly after the event showed the existence of radial fractures on the ice cover, revealing the wave propagation pattern. A bathymetric survey conducted in 2013 by the Université de Montréal made possible the determination of the lake depth in the affected area. Field investigations showed evidences of net marks on tree trunks explained by ice impact and associated with the inundation height.

RÉSUMÉ: un lac dans la municipalité de Lac-des-Seize-Îles, à 100 km au nord de Montréal. Le glissement a mobilisé un volume estimé à 30 500 m³ de till et a généré une vague qui a soulevé et brisé le couvert de glace du lac, provoquant la destruction partielle ou totale de nombreuses résidences saisonnières, quais et abris à bateaux sur près de 450 m au nord et 500 m au sud du glissement. Des photographies patron de fissurations radiales sur la glace, montrant la propagation de la vague. Des données bathymétriques issues 2013 ont permis de déterminer la profondeur du lac dans la zone affectée. Des investigations de terrain ont permis et associées à la hauteur
