ABSTRACT: The estimation of in-situ stress around underground structures, such as a mine, is critical to assess the stability of the infrastructure. Available stress data at Niobec mine were therefore assessed and compared with literature data. This comparison has allowed to develop relationships to predict principal stress values and their variation with depth. Well established relationships to predict stress values as a function of depth are particularly necessary in the case of Niobec, considering the large dispersion of measurement results. These relationships are required to assess the stability of the rock mass around future mine excavations.
RÉSUMÉ: in-situ des infrastructures. Les résultats de mesures de contraintes à la mine Niobec ont donc été évalués et comparés avec les données de la littérature. Cette comparaison afin de prévoir les valeurs des contraintes principales et leur variation avec la profondeur. Il est nécessaire dans le cas de la mine Niobec de déterminer des relations fiables pour prévoir les valeurs de contrainte dispersion des mesures qui ont été prises. Ces relations sont nécessaires pour évaluer la stabilité du massif rocheux autour des futures excavations de la mine.
